I still fail at sleeping. Ah well, I CAN take a nap today during the DAY, when sleep is actually possible. Both Brian and I are fighting off being sick with the flu—he has it worse than me.

Yesterday we went to see Star Trek, which was fun. It was an entertaining movie but GAWD the random plot holes— some of which I feel inclined to point out! Spoiler alert... )
Really though, it was a fun movie for the CHARACTERS. And the action was very good too. It was cheesy, but I loved Scotty and Chekov as younger men. Kirk stayed true to what I felt his character was, and Spock too. I think Spock was easily the most complex and fun.

Yeah. I'm a Trekkie. Mostly "Next Generation" though, since that's what I grew up on.

But yeah. Movies. I'm looking forward to Pixar's "UP".

Movies!

I made this list of movies I need to own at some point. Yes, I do like old Disney movies (animated stuff in general), GOOD horror (or the B stuff for giggles) and foreign films (though I seem to own more of those). My favorite thing to watch though is... wildlife and nature documentaries. If any of you haven't seen the complete "Planet Earth" (the one narrated by Attenborough), you. Must. See. It. LOVE.
The list. I'm sure I've forgotten some... )

Just. Wow.

Never live in Kentucky. I would have refused to strip, run, and sued them to hell.
