Day 4: My favorite book:

My favorite book is Watership Down, by Richard Adams.I've probably read it over twenty times, starting when I was 11 years old till now, and I always find new treasures in it.

My favorite series of books was also one that I found when I was young. And that is The Named books, starting with Ratha's Creature by Clare Bell. I spent years scouring used book stores as a teen looking for the then-out-of-print copies of this series and managed to find some hardbound editions. Then, when the books were re-printed recently (and a new book released! Squee!) I bought them all again in the new paperbacks.

I also own several copies of Watership Down, so I suppose that's how you can tell I cherish these books?

More recent favorites are the White Magic series (the first book being The Mountain's Call) by Judith Tarr (under pseudonym Caitlin Brennan). For those of you that like horses, romance, and excellent fantasy writing I would highly recommend this series!

On another note, I forgot the chief reason that I hate packing: I'm very allergic to dust mites.

Are you on www.shelfari.com? If so, add me (I'm under "Lurath" there, as I am everywhere).

I need book recommendations!

I can also give YOU recommendations, depending on what you like. I'm what people would call a voracious reader.
